These debris are the #1 cause of dryer related fires in homes. The cleaning process takes approximately 30 minutes plus set up and tear down, making it easy and painless. This process increases the efficiency of your dryer while reducing energy costs. It will also extend the life of your dryer.

Step By Step Process

  1. Take a look at the layout (inlet, outlet, and basic location of dryer in the home) to assess the construction. NOTE: WE DO NOT CLEAN FLEXIBLE NON-METAL DUCTING WITH THIS PROCESS.

  2. Use the inspection camera to take a few photos/short video of the dryer vent to document the before condition.

  3. If dryer wasn’t moved in step 2, move dryer and disconnect flexible hose connecting the dryer to the dryer vent.

  4. Insert vacuum adapter into dryer vent and hook up vacuum source to the 2” port.

  5. Attach brush to flexible spring lead and insert through top of vacuum adapter.

  6. Put drill adapter in drill and attach flexible rod to drill adapter and spring lead.

  7. Turn on vacuum source and start cleaning the dryer vent by running the drill and feeding the flexible cleaning rod into the dryer vent. For best results feed the flexible cleaning rod using a push forward/pull back motion to ensure the entire surface of the dryer vent is cleaned.

  8. Continue to add flexible cleaning rods as needed until entire dryer vent has been cleaned.

  9. Once the end of the vent has been reached, start to remove the flexible cleaning rods one at a time.

  10. Remove vacuum adapter and clean up.

  11. Clean the vent on the dryer and lint trap area. This should be done manually with the brush on a flexible cleaning rod for the dryer vent. Using the lint brush clean the lint trap area of the dryer.

  12. Clean up, hook up the dryer, and put back in place.
